Poor Sophie. I sure thought she was done molting a month ago but it seems the molt came in two waves this year. Today was certainly on of those days when all she wants to do is sit there. She is pinning all over her head. I just love watching her preen herself.

Don't you do her pin feathers for her? I do my Amazons, even though he hates women, he lets me do his pin feathers, especially the one's on the back of his head and neck. They must be so uncomfortable for them, it's like people trying to scratch our own backs.

touching an Eclectus' head is a life threatening event. Should by some freak accident my hand go the wrong way across her feathers there will be blood.
Sophie isn't much of a touchy feely bird in the first place.
