Default A Heartwarming Story

I just read the most wonderful story of Hemmingway. Here's a link - grab a tissue first! http://www.landofvos.com/tales/hemingway/hemingway.html

Ironically, this is the same bird I recently posted about whose health was compromised (Prayers Needed post). I am the person who sold Hemmingway to Angie. He was in the consignment room of a bird store (a room where previously owned birds were put up for sale) and was a bit plucked and quite overweight. Angie did wonders with him. She got him on a great diet and it was amazing how beautiful his feathers became!

Becoming an "Ekkie freak," she then purchased Otis from the consignment room of the same store and later Cayenne as a baby. Otis was a bit plucked, but she got him on the right track too! Those birds go with her everywhere and I know they are the love of her life!

Angie and I exchanged some emails a couple of years ago when I had an ekkie. She seemed like such a wonderful person! How is Hemmingway doing? Any news?

I'm not really sure. After her initial series of calls to me, I did not hear back from her. She has moved out of the area and we kinda lost touch until Hemmingway got sick. Of course, when I opened your link, I was expecting the worst! I believe Maryann (majbirds8) has been in touch with her. Perhaps she can shed some light on his present condition. I know Jim (Jimpierce) has also been following the story on another forum where she posted about his illness, so perhaps he can fill us in too.

Oh no no no, That's HIM?! Ughh..... That is so depressing. Any animal being so sick is depressing.

I hope someone can update us.
