Default Feather quality

From the time Lilly came home up until a few days ago I had always noticed that her feathers while pretty seemed kinda on the dull side, almost dry-ish in texture. I am happy to say now her feathers look really glossy and are very soft and lovely to touch. I am taking this as a pat on the back and hopefully means that I am taking good care of her and giving her a good diet too. I took some pictures so you could compare. I would have taken more today but my camera battery up and died on me

This was taken last week, using the same camera and in the same light

taken today

What do you think? Noticable difference in colour and gloss factor or am I just dreaming?

There appears to be a significant difference! Adorable pics. Can you share the difference in diet?

I would have to say I noticed the difference pretty much straight after I starting giving her the sweet potato puffs every evening after her 'dinner' when she was only getting them once or twice a week, so I am thinking it has something to do with the increase of vitamin A in her diet. Because Lilly (and the rest of the gang) are fed basically the same meals each day, just at different times (eg breakfast one day becomes tommorrow's lunch) with the exception of boiled/scrambled every second day.
Here is their menu on a typical day:

Breakfast - Bean and veg mix (every second day boiled/scrambled egg)
lunch - fresh veggies and fruit mix and birdie bread
Dinner - fresh veggies and fruit and pellets/seed

and (now) sweet potato balls

Seeing as though I am home all day long I only give pellets at the end of the day but once I go back to work part time and will be away for part of the day I will be making pellets available all day long.

I make my mine similar

2 large sweet potatos
3 large bananas
1 1/2 cup cooked pumpkin
1 1/2 cup frozen berry mix (mullberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1 cup dried cranberries
2 cups of frozen veg mix (peas, corn, carrot) mix
1 cup peppers
dried pumpkin seeds
small bag slivered almonds
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup oat meal
1/3 cup shredded coconut
2 jars baby food (one fruit one veg)
1 cup of seeds or pellets
cook the sweet potatos until very soft (microwave then scoop out the insides or you can boil) put it all in a large bowl and mix it together. I then refrigerated for a couple hours to get it cold so it was easier to handle. Then used a dinner spoon to size the balls. If the mix is too soft to roll add more oatmeal. To serve microwave for around 45 seconds but check before you serve it that its not too hot or frozen still
