Not Ekkies but love vegs like Ekkies:

Piper and Toby: CORN lol

Piper: swiss chard (no idea why), figs, strawberries, hot peppers, dried chillis, anything with little seeds.

Toby: peas, anything first thing in the morning, peas, anything Piper has, peas, anything I have, peas....get the drift?

Dom, I dont know if you saw Feathersnfur8 posted a new Harrison's item a birdy bread mix.

^ Cindy,

No, I hadn't seen the Harrison's BB mix yet! Thanks for letting me know! Yea, I know what you mean by repeating the same thing over and over... It gets pretty old after a while

Be careful with Harrison's, they make everything with soy which might not be good at all for birds.

Two reasons: one of its components, isoflavone genistein, resembles estrogen (femenine hormone) too closely (that's why it's recommended for women that have gone or are going through menopause) and it makes children and birds mature too soon (there were tests done with Crimson Rosellas) which, in turn, shortens their lifespan. Second reason is that soy is high in phytate which inhibits mineral absorption (and that means calcium, magnesium, iron, etc. all necessary for good health).

There have also been reports by bird breeders in New Zealand that traced back infertility and congenital defects (deformation, stunted growth, beak/feather abnormalities, thyroid, and pathological/aggressive behavior -necropcies showed the entire digestive system to have been affected) to a soy based diet (namely Richard and Valerie James from Whangerai, New Zealand back in the early 90's and the studies were conducted by Dr. Michael Fitzpatrick, a toxicologist).

I don't feed soy to any of my animals, dogs, cats or birds. Better safe than sorry.
