Default Peg's settles back home

She is having a ball. There are wild cockies that she calls to, other wild birds making a racket, she is enjoying herself.

She has half a room to herself, I am painting it out at present, it was dark and gloomy, I have just undercoated it, finally it will be pale yellow, the sun comes in there late in the afternoon. She has her night cage, her stand and her play cage all hooked up via branches that can be removed to suit the time of day.

The other half is my office which I use regularly.

In the mornings, I light the fire in the lounge, she gets on her stand and I bring her in here, the sun shines through these windows, she warms herself in it and the fire. We watch tv as we wake up for the day. I get her 'Hello Darlin' and her latest words 'Good Girl', she also makes kissing sounds to me.
We have a little hug and she gets to business with her morning fruit, I try to get over waking up, man I hate waking up, I need for the sunshine the dogs go outside, check out the chooks and KitKat, Casper twines himself through my legs looking for food, Peggy looks at him with her typical smug look, 'hey cat, I have breakfast, go suck eggs'
Life couldn't be better.

They are outside. I am waiting for her avairy, it is still at the other place. When it is here I will put her out there on warm days when I am outside. The wild ones will visit, and I will get pics. Manau had it, so I am sure Peggy will. At the moment they can hear each other through the windows, and yes it is LOUD, they know she is in here and she knows they are out there, too funny and cute. The really do call to each other.

That is good to hear Sue. I would love to see pictures of the wild cockies when they come for a visit....when the aviary gets there.

Yeh she is doing great. I took her into my painting room today, she was by the window, sun was streaming in, she moved, I was watching her, had to shift her stand, the sun was too hot on her, couldn't believe it. Her skin is too sensitive for direct sunlight through the window, there is no net curtaining there. Wondered why she was hanging off her stand, then it clicked.... Duhh!!! I went up to her and touched her, she was mega warm, she copped about 20 minutes there, half hanging off her ladder in shade. Another thing to be wary of with these featherless birds, learning all the time.

Huh...that is something Sue. I'd think that the sunlight would do her good, but then again cause she is featherless.....her skin could burn.

Kasper has a suntan on his head....I didn't even notice it, Jeanne did.

Im sorry if this Q upsets anyone. She has PBFD, right? But arent you risking the lives of wild birds who will come in contact with her?

On the side note, I think she will enjoy warm weather and outside with the wild birds.
