Default Our new cookatoo!

This is snuggles, she very sweet and loves to sit with you. We got her about 2 and a half months ago( forgot to put her up). She a little bit of a plucker, for some reason. This is her 3 re-home, in her 8 years being.

What a cuttie!!! I love those guys!!

out of curiosity... Since macaws, especially Blue and Golds are known to be allergic to cockatoo dust.. what kind of housing precautions are you taking? I almost broght a too in once, but I dont have addequit space to be able to separate them properly.

Justjustin, I actually, didn't know macaws could be allergic to cookatoo! But I bet my dad knew( he is the real owner of the big bird. I just love them, feed then and play with them.) But I bet seeing at our B&G came off a pet store that at least had 20 or more cookatoo in it. He didn't see a problem with getting her, and the B&G olivia had been fine and so had out greenwing Sammie. The only problem we had is Sammie loves Snuggle, but Snuggle does not like Sammie, so, ever time Snuggles see Sammie she fly away. I'm just glad Sammie, likes to walk when he going vs. flys or I'd be duckking more. lol.

But most of the time the macaw our on their tree and snuggle is on her's and their cage are pretty far apart.

The macaw can end up with a respiratory infection. I have a friend who has a bonded pair of bird (b&g and a too) and the b&g is on medication because of it.
