Default New Too's to the rescue

These guys came in last night from NYC, They are 28 yrs old and a bonded breeding pair of M2'S. their names are Luke Skywalker & Princess Laya . I feel so bad for them,but now we will give them a stress free life.

They pluck each other during breeding : ( They really break my heart,its so sad to see a bird looking this way,and its sad to see a cage with no toys in it. I am going to try one toy in there and see how they react to it,after 28 yrs of no toys I don't want to freak them out,they are scared enough.

I am amazed & shocked. I do hope you can introduce them to a gentler existence.
Are you able to get them into a flight? Maybe instead of toys - some branches to chew & explore on?

How are you going to discourage breeding? - I am wondering if that's possible.

The head and shoulders get plucked during breeding not the entire bird. Toys are way too scary, my breeders like to shred branches and whole cobs of maize. I have given them toys but they were so many years without toys before that they are not interested.
