Re: Nature - Parrots in the land of OZ - Black Palm Too We just started his training. Shadow is 3 now and his feathers were clipped when we got him. We spoke with his breeder who kept him for some time and was flying in his home. We are beginning indoors at short distances since his flight feathers haven’t completely grown in. Gary holds him on his arm and when I call his name, Gary flips him in the air to get him started. He lands on my arm, except when he doesn’t (LOL) and lands on the conice. He is actually missing my arm because he is flying too high. When he gets better accuracy, next we will begin adding a specific cue to signal once he is coming to me and landing securely.
I have decided to get a camera that doesn't take alot of adjusting, lights, etc that I can just have handy that is easy. It takes to much time with the one we are using now. I want one that can take good motion pics because as you know, most birds have a problem sitting quiet very long. LOL |
