Default Major Mitchell on cover of Parrots mag

This is published in the UK and of course we got it a month late but worth having if you like these beautiful birds! In Australia you can find it at Borders.

I've seen a Leadbeater's in person! It was a perfect little angel...no plucking and was over 32 years old...that woman was doing something right

I saw one in person and it was sooo powder pink I couldnt stop staring at it!! Even its feet were pink. I wanted it!!! I stuck my finger out and it bit the crapolla outta me!!! I didnt want it anymore after that. I should have taken it as a sign, that I would some day have a pink monster shark bird(named alex) that would bite the crapolla outta me daily!!

I need to make some lifestyle changes first so maybe a few years down the road. Cut way back on travelling, redo the bird room with seperate chew-proof plexiglass walls, maybe even cut back to working part time. I don't think a MM would be happy being left alone all day and they are too big to live with my little guys. Haven't stoped dreaming-if I won the Lotto I would be set!

Oh God, Tiki, you're killing me here!! Just when I decide that a Galah will be it when the time comes, you keep bringing up these darn Major Mitchell's! Don't know how but I'm gonna get one in about five years and work him into my Aussie colony. Maybe with enough space and cover 4 tiels, a Princess of Wales, a Regent, a King Parakeet, a Galah AND a Major Mitchell's could all get along! Goodness knows there's enough English titles in those names to start a new Empire! Anyone seen Victoria around?

Yeah it does sound like we have a lot of royal birds around here! Go for the Princess next, they get along well with Tiels!

Another tiel is up first, then the Princess of Wales or a King Parakeet, whichever becomes available first. I want the tiels to have a chance to be dominant birds and the flock leaders so the bigger birds don't push them around too much. Unfortunately, that's why there are no rosellas in my Aussie plans.
