Default Beebo and Shykee

Here are my (and my son's) cockatiels.

Beebo, the gray cockatiel is pretty much my son's bird. I took Beebo in from a drug home. They had him in a tiny cage with only this crappy seed diet and one rusty toy. He was malnourished and was weak from lack of exercise. I brought him home and he immediately fell in love with my son. This bird will let him do anything with him. My son is almost 15 so no worries, it is all good stuff that he does. Beebo will tolerate others in the house and will come to me when son is not home for a head rub but if your at the door when my son leaves, you will be attacked. He blames it on whomever is with him because he is leaving. He will dance for my son too and tap his foot that has the leg band on it. So cute.

Shykee, lutino cockatiel is everyone's bird. She is eager for anyone to give her a head rub and if you do not, she will nip you. She is lovable and very quiet. Very rarely says a word.

I do have some videos of Beebo, I have to find them for you to see his little dance. Beebo originally came to us named Buddy. I already had Buddy, my quaker and it wasn't working out trying to sort things out. Beebo was thrown out and both kids agreed without fighting so that was it. I do not normally rename my rehomes or rescues cause I feel they have enough change but in this circumstance, I felt it necessary.

They are adorable! I believe I've just made it through all of your birds' stories, and I have to say that you seem like such a wonderful parront! They all look so happy and healthy, and I really enjoyed reading all about them!

They both look like the picture of health and happiness now. How long have they been with you?

Beebo has been with us for about 3-4 years now. According to his legband, he is about 15 years old. Shykee was brought in as a baby on two handfeedings a day. She is 2 years.
