Sold baby conure with her new family When I sell babies it is always bittersweet. Two weeks ago my last baby went to her new home. I do keep in contact with the new homes and often quite a few phone calls happen in the beginning especially if this is a first biggish bird.
This baby now called Baby stayed with me longer since the new family wanted to get the cage and home ready for the birdie. I was also a bit concerned about her feathers but did suspect that Tess was doing a little over preening. She is now covered in beautiful feathers so I guess in hindsight it was Tess without a doubt.
It seems this baby has already found the way to rule the family and is trying to talk. She is calling hello in her gravely sun voice to make sure the people come. It seems to be a very good home as she is invited to the table. She willingly steps up and cuddles the entire family.
Charming and Cinderella, her parents seem to produce talking suns. Honey her older sister has yet to talk. Honey is extremely quiet for a sun so maybe one day she will decide to talk. I have always wondered if genetics have anything to do with talking or not. The only pair that have ever produced talkers are Charming and Cinderella. Mom & Pop, Peanuts parents seem to produce very loud, bold,(not very bright, dont want Peanut to see this)in with the action children. |
