Question Mitred Conures

Anyone with these gorgeous birds able to offer me some info? There isn't much information at all about these guys on the web. I am aware of Conure care, but is there anything special I need to know about mitreds? The only information I have got so far from his current owners is that he's nippy until he trusts you and has a small vocabulary and mimics sounds.

Thanks in advance!

We have one named Danny. He had a rough past so my experience isn't typical. Danny is very independent and definitley a one person bird (but that could all be a result of his past). He is fiercely loyal to my husband. He is loud and mimicks noises, but doesn't speak. He is in love with mirrors and himself, lol. He doesn't like to be cuddle or petted. He likes to ride on my husbands shoulder and be talked to. Good luck with yours! They are beauties!

Thanks! She did say that once he trusts you, he is very cuddly. He had a great life until she had triplets and didn't get the attention he needed, so his biting has come back again. But I'm willing to work with him, he's going to get lots of attention in this house! LOL
