Here is Simons story. We bought him two years ago in March for me it was a self defence thing. My husband had lost his step-father in a household accident than less than thirty days later his mother. To top off the greif we had our little canary died. Our dog was 12 or so years old(she was a resuce so her real age is unknown). I was so worried as she had been having some health problems as well that one more death in our little family would send my husband over the edge. I had stop into our local petsmart and seen Simon and fell in Love. I took my husband in to see him we talked to the staff and they said he was young and a bit of a biter. My husband was smitten. While he visited with Simon my son and I went and loaded the cart with all of the parrot stuff for our new bird. We brought him home that day and that is when he started to bite Leo he was soo discouraged as he was the only one he bit. I encouraged him to keep trying and one day he tumbled down his shirt we thought he was hurt but no he was playing and the love of parrots began. I never seen him as little and tell people he is like a jack ruselle terrior and doesn't know he is little. He loves to go to the campground in the summer and goes everywhere with us much to the amazement to others we here do you know you have a bird on your shoulder. We play the game and look shocked. He is now a familar sight on the steering wheel of our car in the campground but knows it is the cage when it is the open road. When he stays home all my husband has to say is want to go see mommy and the trailer and Simon hops in his travel cage and says lets go. He feed the dog calls her for a ride and while we have always been dog people there is nothing like your parrot calling daddy and when you let him out he runs up your arm gives him a kiss and says hi buddy every night when he comes home it always puts a smile on his face. Iam having trouble putting in pic but will as soon as I figure it out
