Default Baby Canaries

These are our 20 day old baby Red Factor Canaries. They are just about ready to leave the nest.

Here they are at 14 days old with Mom Lucy

I want them! Maria is sitting on eggs again, so may have a few canaries of my own, but they are "plain" brown & yellow & white, not that cool red or brown speckled!

Default Nice pictures everybody

The Gouldians are beautiful.

Denise- My Canary insists on nesting in her seed cup. She absolutely refuses to use a nest. The three babies in there now really have to squeeze themselves in.

Kathie- We have Java's and the Canaries that we breed. The Canary parents are from BP. These are pretty babies.

Oh....I am a goner, I want them all! What wonderful pics, folks!

Not a sophisticated solution, but one of my canaries took a liking to her seed bowl as a nest, much to the dismay of her roomies. I put wooden clothespins in the seed and on the side to make it a bit hard to land in and it seemed to "drive" her back to the nests (gave her two to choose from) without any trauma & everyone happily ate around the clothespins until she was done laying.

I had a couple like that.... we just kept trying different nest and finally found ones they likes... most of mine are not that picky... thank goodness...LOL
