WOW! they are adorable!

How come all your babies drive me crazy? I was very close to getting a Canary when I was hunting for my 'perfect' bird.

The dark baby - is it a red? Ohhhhhhhhh they are so sweet sitting in those nests.

Does anyone have their Canaries out of the cage? I had read that if you get them young they can be as tame as a Budgie. They are definately smart.

I've heard that canaries and linnies can be kept in the same cage. Is that true?

I think to fully love and appreciate a canary is to have it out of its cag and with other companion canaries!!! I had two male canaries in full song and they never fought. They acted distress in a cage (flying back and forth back and forth from the right side fo the cage to the next, and this is a 5ft long flight cage! I could just imagine them suffering in something smaller ): I let ALL my birds out of their cages form sun up until its starts getting dark out outside 4-5pm which then all small birds ar eput into their cages until 6 pm and they go to sleep. I never caged my male canaries though, they liked to fly into my closet to the top shelf and roosting up there. I do plan on getting more canaries in th enext few months.. I miss my boys
