Default Advice on my new Zebra pair

Here are their photos: The Zebra Finches

I am thinking the white one is a female. What do y'all think? Obviously my silver is a male.

Since it has the eye markings, is it actually a white mutation? Also, am I correct in saying that the silver one is a silver mutation?

I never thought I'd ever enjoy finches. I got them for Jasmine to watch since I'm gone so much during the day but I fell so hard in love with them. Such amazing little creatures! I am already going all over to see what I can buy to spoil them with since finches do not like toys. I bought them a natural branch and some dried greens last night. Also the Finches for Dummies book

I hope they breed soon. I've heard Zebras breed like rabbits. I'm already thinking about getting a large flight cage. Right now they're in a cage similar to this:

Thanks!

I don't know a thing about finches - but just wanted to say congrats! They sure are pretty little things! What does Jasmine think about them?

They cute, I don't know anything either, but what about grass or carrot tops for eating and play.

Oh how cute! I love the picture of Sophie flying.

I have no clue about finches either. Does CatsChair have finches? Or just budgies and tiels? I can't remember. Anyway, they are very cute little things.

I have everything small! My finches will play with their toys from time to time, and are so good at reproducing that we have a boys' cage and a girls' cage. I am guessing the white one is a female and the babies will come out a nice mix. I had quite a few white ones back in NJ (think they moved to Florida, when the folks I gave them to moved down there...so who knows, she could be one of mine's great grandaughter). I have a great time watching them ... very soothing and amusing. They love lettuce and most greens, will pick at broccoli, love millet!! I have mine on both pellets and seed, and am sure they always have water to bathe in because they have SO much fun. Be warned -- they can splash their bath water (and all biological materials) in at least six directions....... I have no idea how they do it! Many congrats on your new additions.

I had a pair of finches when I was very young. I always loved to listen to their little noises they made! Aren't their chirps and sounds just the cutest!
