My brother want a bird (a Hyacinth macaw to be specific). Unfortunatly, we aren't able money wise to provide that. I am pushing him torwards a Caique because of their sweet playful nature. What he want though, is something that will be able to talk. Not like a grey, but say a few words. I know it vaired from bird to bird, but does you Caique talk? Is it clear words? Do they tend to bond to one person?

yes caiques can talk.some more than others. sassy my caique can say many words and short phrases. like:bye,bye; hello; hi; whats ya doin?; what?; no; stop; quit; night,night; baby. sassy is 1 yr and 4 months old. and she can also whisper back when i whisper to her. caiques understand every word,motion. i have sassy go ptty before she gets out in the am. i trained her by saying poopy everytime she got on her ring.
