Default Foraging cones

Foraging cones are always a big hit at the house here. They are not fed too often because they do contain some sugar.. the base is one of those ice cream wafer cones you can get at the store in packs for .99. I spread a thin layer of organic peanut butter inside, then sprinkle some seed. In the bottom I usually add some dehydrated veggies, like mango or papaya, and some pine nuts. Feed to birds....

they all love it!! Higgins, as you can see, is having a blast eating one.

That's a great idea...if only Ollie liked peanut butter! She hates anything that sticks to her beak. I'll still try it though, it looks yummy!

LOL I only wish my birds didn't like PB! They'd swim in it if they could. LOLOL

I'll have to look at the ingredients in the wafer cones. I did look at the regular ones last week and they had too much of too many bad things, not just sugar.
I wonder if there's anything safe and healthy we could find to do this with? It's a great idea!!
Wow, Higgins is soooo handsome!

Great pics! I know that Gini uses these (mini cones) with her birdiebread and my fids just love them. DUH! I never thought to go out and buy some myself to fill. Thanks, Emily!!!!!
