hey j heres an ad for you. i found at upatsix. here is the website:
www.animalsplanet.com. he is a vet in ok.selling off some of his breeders. a pair of bh caiques $1600.

Jac- a caique that has a buddy outside of his/her own species is the rare bird... they are extremely nasty to other species birds. Socialization is the key. Sometimes even 2 caiques do not get along.
As for energy- a GCC's energy level has nothing to a caique!
I refer to caiques as a bird with the intelligence of the african grey, the attention span of a moth, and a two year old on a constant sugar high.

Fair enough - It pays to hear the brutal honest answer. I know we're talking in generalities but it is wise to think about the real species issues.
