Today everyone got a bath and these two had to sneak a kiss in front of the mirror when they were all wet.

What an awesome photo - that's a great photo of the two of them being affectionate and the mirror effect makes it that much more spectacular!

Karen, they both love mirrors and I put them in their cage every so often. They both have plenty to say to their look-a-likes.
Sarah, I love the mohawk look on Spice, too.

Now that I've had Budgies for a while I realise that some of the information about mirrors is erroneous. So many say that you shouldn't have a mirror with a Budgie.

I took that very seriously & took Laker's away when I got him. That was pretty cruel. I'm not sure but its loss may have helped us bond & spiked his interest in all of us. The mirror was his only bud. When he was out of the cage he headed to our mirrors. I ended up using the mirror to train him - he'd do anything to get to the Budgie in the Mirror. That's how I tricked him into stepping on to my hand.

The mirror Budgie also told me he needed more Budgie interaction. A basic need. Even with Rio around they both enjoy visiting a mirror Budgie. Never enough Budgies in their minds I'm sure.

I love to take photos by the mirror - you get the front &back views of your birds at the same time.
