Oh i have been to the pet store twice today..... they have conures...

cockatiels. lovebirds... and a gray ohhhhhhhhh i never remember.....

it says hello...

its the cocatiels i like they want 188.00 each and 218.00 for the white faced one. its white with grey spots. it is pretty..... i have done eveyrthing from trying to split accounts and everything.... but its not going to work this time....... i want the yellow cocktiel.... oh well...........i did phone the local spca which is where people take things they dont want or cant look after and they said they dont get many birds in the last lot was about 6 months ago........

Whenever i get like that i go and get a good book to read - want is a terrible thing.

We all suffer from it - it got so i couldn't even go to pet supply stores that have pets. I avoided them for almost a year & it was very hard to break from it. Just when i was about to give up on getting a bird I saw Laker's photo in Petfinder.

One way to solicit for a bird is to post an ad yourself. you could try the link for Kijiji i gave you. Some days i wish Canada was a lot smaller - so you could take my Mom's Tiels - she can't look after them anymore but it has been hard for her to accept. There are lots of seniors out there who would be thrilled if someone would love their pet - Chin up & you may be able to help someone & their pet sooner than later.

i did go through kijiji...i do have it on my favorites and refresh everymorning.... and i am looking in the paper......

I think everyone on this board has gone thru this - probably many times.

They even have a name for it MBS - Multiple Bird Syndrome.

Please give yourself a break - it will happen - I'm sure of it.

Yes, it's very hard to resist birds when I go to pet stores.

But once I start thinking about money - cage, toys, food, vet bills - I come back to reality a little.

And then I think about the fact that I don't think my budgies would do well with a larger bird, and out of cage time has to be all together with my schedule now.

i saw one in the paper which was in vancouver. which is a 5 hr trip for me. and due to physical problems I would not be able to drive tht far and back....
so did some figuring financially and will be able to afford tookie........ so there she is...........................
