sorry for not posting have not felt up to it....



went to take him to the vet in winfield and i believe he had lost too much blood. anyway after getting him and putting him in travel case for budgies he just up and died. Did check out the beak( lower) one and it was actually cracked in two. no sign of mites anywhere. checked it out thoroughly as I had jojo to worry about he does not have mites either and is doing okay..

jojo is doing ok the first week was strange but jojo now is doing stuff. he was a worry for me as tj and jojo were best of buds. actually thought i would lose jojo as well.
so havent really felt like posting. at all

sorry i did not get back to you sooner .. as i said i just didnt feel up to it..

i now do have a kit of stuff for budgies in case of problems. tweezers polysporin q tips , file, etc.

So sorry to hear the TJ passed away. All Budgies are special little gems. RIP TJ.

Ah that's too bad - really. Poor you & poor TJ. I hope all is well with Jojo.

THere is one bright side = Having a lone Budgie can be a blast.
They can get very close to you & are so terribly sweet about it too. I still remember taking Laker in his cage, to different rooms or out on the balcony, to be with me at all times.

I hope you can enjoy this quiet time with Jojo. Tj was lovely. It is a shame the condition escalated like that. As you say - now you have a better med kit than I do + the unwanted experience. Now you will know what to look for & respond quicker & perhaps more effectively.

Unfortunately a lot of Budgies are not the best bred birds & can have constitutions that are more delicate than normal or just bad luck can get in the way. So even with the best Vets etc - you might not have been any more successful.

I'm thankful my 2 lads are OK. I wish you hadn't had to go thru this loss again. I might recommend looking at an older bird next time, if you're thinking of another pal for Jojo, so you know they are strong. Laker is very fit & loving. But I guess you never really know how long you will have them. I have no idea how old Laker is after all.
