Rio lost one long tail feather last week. [Pita like] Today he lost the other one.

As i was photo documenting his cute short tail, they took off. My camera took the picture i thought i was taking of they sitting there but got them in flight instead. I guess cause they were startled but some mysterious thing, Rio kind of fell on the perch but it still shows his wing span quite nicely.

Great pics - love the first and last especially!! Rio's a duckbutt Rio is also starting to look very much like Jerry in the face - especially in the 2nd picture.

Is Laker warming up to Rio's hyperness anymore?

They're good pals but Laker won't cuddle or preen with Rio. Laker still seeks us out for 'quiet time'. Rio rarely follows.

When i look at Rio i often think about Jerry - it is kind of fun - i really didn't think about Jerry when i first saw Rio - but it must have been subconscious.

They sure do chatter a lot.

Same here, my boys are buddies, but Big Budgie won't allow any preening or cuddling. Doesn't stop Jerry from trying, but he does respect the boundaries "somewhat."
