Red face It's official - they're driving me nuts!

Recently I have been experimenting with my Organic essential oils - don't use them like i used to cause of the lads. I thought Eucalyptus would be good - not bad for Budgies & great for my feet. When i have a 'spa' & give my feet a going over i rub cream & oil into them. Recently i added Eucalyptus oil. So I'm on the computer with my backless slipper-shoes on & guess what happens???!!!

They are fascinated by my heels & are driving me crazy - Rio especially - by nibbling my feet. They often sit on the floor by the chair & roost on my feet.

They can't resist!! Have they ever had Eucalyptus before?
I'm tempted to buy some for my little Nikky.

Nope - but the 'real' stuff is supposed to be excellent - like the leaves or the Budgie Butter. I have to get around to ordering some.....

Now that i think back to this morning i realise i never got around to the eucalyptus oils this morning as the plasterers were back to finish their work, right when i was finished the washing part.... I remembered later as my feet seemed pretty dry.

I think the lads are simply grooming me - my feet are a bit rough at the moment - hence the foot attention. Tho maybe the eucalyptus oil smell was still working from the bath & yesterdays foot massage.

sorry about all the foot info.
It's nice to think they're trying to look after me!

Pogo preens on my eyelids and eye lashes ... maybe he's after those little bugs that live there. Yes, it could be the dry skin, but I think they are pretty curious about feet for some reason ... probably because our toes aren't as long as theirs.

Word of warning ... be careful because they can sneak up near your feet without you knowing. Pogo has done that a few times with me, and I've almost gotten him a few times with my foot. Scary when you think about it.

Silly birdies! Maple likes to chase me around the house and bite my toes...she thinks it's funny to watch me jump around! Harley watches and screams "ouch" ..hehe...silly silly.

They could for sure be grooming you. Maple loves to groom me...skin, freckles, hair, eyebrows (her fav)...lashes if I'd let her....lol...macaw beak in the eye anyone? NO THANKS!! LOL

Very very cute non the less. And I am sure the oil helped! They love you!

Yes very Scary - I stop everyone who goes into the studio/office to slow down & look at the ground. I have to think about where my feet are & where they are when i stand up. I gave up trying to get them to forget about the floor. Never thought this would be problem with flighted Budgies.

Macaws are a whole different Ballgame! That Harley is going to be a real dickens.

Rio is really fascinated by eyebrows & thinks they need lots of preening - but then the men around here have fairly bushy ones.

My friend with the Sennie [not flighted] has similar problems - nips at her feet really badly when she sees her getting ready to go out.
