You should not feel like you are to blame.! It is your mind getting to you - 'cause you did bond with her. Tell your mind to take hike - you're a good person & from the number of pets you do care for - I'd say a bit of a pet push-over.

Not all of us are blessed with perfect health or perfect situations. All young things are fragile - even a plant. Yes she deserved better from the breeder all the way to the store owner. You could not take her - that was clear.

I'm sorry the little one did not make it, but please don't blame yourself. I think the hardest thing to learn is that we cannot save every animal or child, much as we would love to do just that. Thanks for having such a big heart.

It always hurts when one of our birdie's flies over the rainbow. You were very special to the little Angel when others were not. Thank you for the time and love you showed, Josh, and know that you were not at fault, you trusted the store owner and she let you down.

I can't imagine how you are feeling right now. I felt terrible when my sweet Vanny caught her toe in a swing and that was an injury that didn't even last a day. I admire the way you took care of that poor bird, she was lucky to have you in her short life. I'm very sorry for your loss...

Oh I'm so sorry.I agree with everyone else though, this is not your fault and know that you gave her love in her final days and I'm sure that she knew that.Big hugs

I'm sure this pet store (and many others) didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a $20 budgie ... it's sad but true. The best that can happen for little budgies like this is that someone at the pet store knows what's going on and can help get the bird back to good health without a vet. Josh -- you were that special person, and even though little Angel bird died, you and we all know you did everything you could. It's hard to know what was really wrong with her, so don't beat yourself up over it. I would be upset if someone took her life without letting you do more ... and if that is really what happened, then the truth will eventually surface.

I am so sorry, Josh. Repeating what others have said, you did what you could. Thank you for all that you did do for that little budgie.
