Well, it's been 3 weeks now that Ziggy has been in quarantine. He came a long way in the first couple of weeks and what I started to realize is that in the last week he's almost gone backwards due to being isolated 95% of the time. I tired to spend as much time as possible with him, but it only ended up being maybe 30 to 45 minutes a day max.
So yesterday I decided Ziggy's quarantine of 3 weeks was long enough to show any major health problems with him ... which he showed none. I brought Pogo up to Ziggy's room last night and let them hang out together outside of Ziggy's cage to see how they got along. They got along great almost instantly, and could see there would be no problem with them being together.
Then today I moved Ziggy's cage down stairs and put it next to Pogo's huge mansion cage. I left Ziggy's cage locked up, and of course they were both hanging on the sides of their cages trying to get to each other. After watching that for 15 minutes I opened Ziggy's cage and he came out about 5 minutes later. Within 15 minutes he was inside Pogo's big cage, and by the end of the day Ziggy has basically moved in as he hangs out in Pogo's cage full time.
They are getting along great, and I can already see a difference in Ziggy as he seems to have opened up more and acts more like a Budgie should. While in quarantine, he was always so quiet and bored that I think it made him kind of skittish when I would go and spend some time with him. Now that he's in the middle of all the action he seems to be much more active and vocal like Pogo.
So here's a little video I took of Pogo showing off to Ziggy on how to handle some of the bells in his cage ... LOL. That Pogo is one wild bell ringin' Budgie. Ziggy gives a big fluffy ruffle after Pogo's exhibition because he can't hardly believe it himself.

I also attached a photo of them hanging out on the big cage. After 6 hours of being together they seem to be adjusting to each other well, and are good buddies. Pogo seems to be more excited than Ziggy over the whole ordeal, but I’m sure Ziggy is happy to be with another Budgie too.
