I think it's so sweet that you have Easter's feather still! She looks like such a sweetheart!

I also should tell you all that I have some feathers still from this little bird. I also have a toenail from my Boston terrier (dad had to pull it off and I remember her scream), and horse hair from my horses, a baby tooth from my yorkie puppy that fell out on my knee when she bit me. My brother calls it my crazy death box. I bet you all don't find this strange at all! ha!
I'm the same way - I used to & still do - collect things that remind me of stuff. I also can't throw out anything that is dear to me. My mother threw out my collection when I was in transition from their home to my own - some people just don't get some things.

Oh no!!!! Disaster! I'm sorry. My mom was great. In fact she still has my horses tack box and saddle, etc. in her attic. I can't bring it here because each time I get near it I cry myself into a fit. Someday....

I was pretty upset at the time & probably still harbour resentment - which is silly. Even if she meant to be cruel - it was only stuff - I know that. In reality she only saw an odd collection of the weirdest stuff. They kept things of mine I've told them are junk - it is confusing.

People are responsible for their own junk - I never throw out any of my son's stuff - he has to do it.

Recently I threw out all my old music tapes. I haven't had a tape player for 5 years. It almost took my breath away to do it but once it was done a feeling of relief came over me. They were made for me by a variety of freinds & they were like connections to them all. Now they are land fill I know I will still have the memories.
Now for all the letters I've kept.......photos, etc. In truth this stuff will all be reduced not all thrown out probably.

Ah! A fellow saver! I love you! I have saved every card or letter ever written to me and every thing my boys ever did or even puked on. I did draw the line at their toilet paper, but only because my hubby made me. LOL! Life is precious and I intend to save every minute scrap of it I can!

Wait until you have a lifetime of saved stuff and you move to a condo where you have no storage. Getting rid of it is overwhelming.
