Sugar's eyes are black.. He is not an albino. He is a dark-eyed clear.

I was wondering about the eyes too ... that's cool that they are dark. Pogo is also a dark eyed Budgie. He's about 1-1/2 years old now and they haven't lightened up, so I doubt they ever will. I kind of like the dark eyed look.

Dark eyed Clears are one of the rarer types of Budgie - I read once that they were quite popular at one time but for some strange reason their popularity declined & now are rare. I like this variation as well.

It is funny about their eyes. Strange that there are so many coloured Iris + no apparent Iris as well.

Laker's appear yellow while Rio's seem almost white.

Here's a good photo of Pogo showing his dark eyes. Even if I take a photo with the flash you can barely see his iris. It will be interesting to see if Ziggy's eyes will change ... I'm thinking they will.

I honestly didn't know Sugar was rare. I need to give him more respect!!!!

I always say that Jerry's iris is brown, and it is, but in the past few weeks I think it may have gotten slightly lighter (but still kind of hard to see) - that or I'm probably going crazy
