Maybe give him a bath or two this week, see if it makes a difference. Or maybe he is getting ready for a molt, as Susan suggested.

A show breeder told Sarah & I , that if we bathed our birds every day for 2 wks the feathers would not look fluffy. Laker sure hated his morning spritzer but in the end he really looked a lot better. If your guys are young - they maybe don't have their preening skills up to snuff.

Bathing - either by sprayer or bowl of water - it doesn't matter - Lake just doesn't know how to bath so i just got him wet. Rio walked thru the bowl of water we put out for them - Laker drinks from it.

Neither Jerry or Lulu will bathe two days in a row for me. I usually bathe them each once per week and they do like to get wet when shower days roll around (on weekends usually, when I have more time to spend in the bathroom). When they're molting I try to bathe them twice per week but that depends on my schedule (when I shower in the morning before work they are not even up at that time).

I think that Winston might dunk his head in his water dish, there sometimes seems to be what look like bits of keratin sheath from pins feathers floating in his water when I change it every day. But regardless I spray him once a week and he enjoys it. (I took him in the shower with Jerry and me last week, but he and Jerry just sat up on the shower curtain rod together - Winston was interested but didn't know how to get down to the shower perches, even when I moved them close to the curtain rod. And with Winston in there Jerry didn't want to shower AT ALL lol).

Regular bathing should help - even if it isn't every day. Normally i just kind of do it when I remember. It kind of goes with watering the plants & I have many of those.
