Jerry's new cage arrived today! It's not the ginormous flight cage that I plan to get someday, when I can actually fit a flight cage in my house, but it's a big step up from his previous cage.

I was amazed at how quickly he took to the new cage, I wasn't sure how he would react. I showed him the empty cage, and then sat his old one next to it and he watched me move perches and toys one by one. As I was arranging perches he was interested, but would only sit on the edge of the doorway. When I moved his favorite toy in, that's what got him! As soon as that toy went in, so did Jerry. and he explored from there and was happy playing in it all afternoon.

Sarah, Jerry's new mansion looks awesome. Glad he took to it right away. You have it set up very nice for him!

He's happy so far, and I think the current layout will work. He's been playing nonstop. I'm so happy that I found a long cage, that's what I was focusing on.

He did have a night fright last night, but I kind of suspected that since he's in both the new cage and in a new position in the room. I ran in and turned the lights on when he was flapping and waited until he climbed back on a perch and calmed down. He was fine after that.

Very nice roomy cage, Longer than higher is very beneficial to your little friend.
