Default I had a tip over i was putting a new toy on cage and it went over

birds and all....... i felt so bad.. i hand checked them both i talked with them gave them some loving.. calmed them down the best i could. so a warning with all these toys we must make sure things are level. i thought i was levelling the toys but all it took was one extra thing and down they went... i took the big light and checked them over before i tucked them back under cover for the night... I will be scared to look in the morning. as I know it doesnt take muhc to scare these little guys....

of course i had to use the vacumm and they both were not happy campers so at least I knew their vocals were okay... but am still worried... i wont sleep much this evening.

What a scare! I am sure they will be fine, though. I moved mine to their "temp housing" by turning their whole cage on its side, putting them in the car, and driving them down the freeway. They actually seemed to rather enjoy themselves, and are having lots of fun visiting their "cousins". Maybe up and down are not sure a big deal when you can fly!

Bad luck - sounds like you need to start on a bigger cage! [for all the toys!]
~ I've dropped stuff before - as long as they don't associate it with violence they are pretty cool about accidents. Once again my Laker jumped into my paints - this time a yellow & red tail - i had to get him into the bathroom & grabbed him there & washed his tail - afterwards he just fluffed his feathers, snorted & hopped back into my hand - no biggy & boy was i surprised.

Now that's an amusing vignette. I can just see it. Very creative use of space too - cage on its side.
Laker loves car rides too & i'm assuming Rio does too.

Budgies are such cheerful birds.

I'm glad they're doing fine this morning! As Jac said, they are cheerful little guys so I don't think they'll hold it against you!

I'm glad they're okay! Something similar happened to Dakota once and he was over it in a minute or so.
