Here's a few pixs I got of Ziggy the other day. This is his first experience eating corn, and he loves it ... I think all budgies do because of the sweet natural sugars in corn.

Thanks to all for the comments. As some of you know, Ziggy is still young and has only been in the same cage as Pogo for about 2 weeks now. Ziggy has come a long way in that short time and is his personality is starting to come out a lot. His personality is much different than Pogo's for sure. Ziggy is starting to play with all the toys around him, and it's really interesting that he plays with them much differently than Pogo does. For instance, Pogo likes to throw the cat balls around with this beak and feet, while Ziggy just tries to stand and balance on them instead ... it's hilarious.

Also, Ziggy has experience lettuce twice now, and both times he will grab chunks of the lettuce in his beak and fly up on the perches with it in his beak. He runs back and forth and jumps to various perches with the lettuce hanging in his beak and acts like he's trying to find place to set it down so he can eat it up high. He seems to try to hold it down on the perch with one of his feet so he could eat it there. I tried to get video of this, but he stops if I get too close with the camera.

I like the little food bowl you have for him - nice idea - I'll have to look for something like that too. Mine just look at the corn - I see they like to practice throwing the corn around?

Baby Budgies look pretty cute - notice the undeveloped beard. & yes I noticed right off how coordinated his things appear to be. Ziggie's going to be a handsome lad - it will be fun to see him mature.
