I love the word polish, and the headboard sounds like a great place to groom. Hope they don't do distinctive triangle shaped designer carvings up there.

Pogo plays with his toys so much that I'll never have to worry about his beak needing trimming.

I haven't looked at it lately, but I think it's still slightly jagged along the side edges.

Here's a photo of Pogo and Ziggy. Pogo's beak is more rough and zagged than Ziggy's. You can also see that Pogo's beak shows the layer shedding too. It's nothing to be concerned about IMO.

Thanks Scott - the photos are great. Pogo's quite the character - which one is 'crazier'?

My Rio is the wild one around here. I think Laker is often 'offended' by Rio's antics. They both seem to be very excited by the chew toys & the Spring grasses. Laker has learned a lot from Rio - so I'm very happy to have brought him in.

Jac -- Ziggy seems to be more crazy than Pogo ... I think it's mainly because he's still young (about 11 months old now), and Pogo has "matured" some. Pogo still plays a lot, but Ziggy is one insane flying machine. He zooms around the house like a fighter jet, buzzing past my head on purpose. I think he's playing around when he flies like that. They are both playful and very active ... and can get into a loud chatter mode too. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about since anyone that has two or more Budgies know they get into the "flock chatter" mode sometimes. They even do it when they are sleeping with thier heads tucked onto their backs.
