Conversations with Jerry - VIDEOS

Yesterday as I was keeping an eye on Winston I was able to get a couple good videos of my chats with Jerry. Jerry and I tend to chat a lot when he's in his cage and I'm sitting at the computer desk. I do these chats, they're special to me.

Here we are going back and forth - my voice is annoying and I know I'm such a dork!

Yes! He loves the kitties and talks about them all the time. He only sees the kitties when he's in his cage though since they "go to take a nap" when the birds come out. He always asks where the kitties are when he's out and I say, "They're taking a nap, Jare."

Jerry was quite clear in both videos. So were you - problem with the camera is you're closer to the mic than he is. Could you put the camera closer to him - on a support [tripod/pole] or extension - so your voice is less dominant?

When i talk towards our mic it is louder - so I try & remember to talk away from the mic if I wan tit less loud.

I took a video of Rio a week ago - must upload it. His volume is 10's Laker's.

Awwwwww! That is so wonderful! We love Jerry!!! Ruby is hollering "STEP-UP!!" He is a good boy!

WOWWWWW!!!!! That was awesome! Ive seen very few talking budgies. You can hear him very clearly.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you are all getting to see more of him through the videos. He's quite the spectacular guy and I'm trying to do him justice through these videos.

... Jerry's a great talker!

I need to try and capture Pogo talking ... it's hard to do. I'd like to setup a mic someplace and record him when he knows I'm not recording something. Seems every time I get the camera out he wants to land on it.

It has been very hard to capture Jerry talking! It's the same with Jerry, if I take out the camera and set it too close to him he's super suspicious and gets very quiet. Like in these 2 videos he was ok with the camera setup but I had to be sitting at the computer desk like normal and he was ok. If I was standing anywhere else in the room he was silent.
