Default Pacino

Meet Pacino...YNA male..totally hormonal right now. Cage bound for 10-12 yrs, kept as a "back up bird" just in case the woman's "real" bird (a too) died...

He screams WHITE BIRD. I am afraid of him, but as you can see, Dh isn't. He's never actually bitten either one of us too badly, but he does the whole "fake out" thing...He lifts his foot saying "yeah! pick me up!" No tail flair, no eye pinning, but BAM! he nails you...

He's a pretty bird, and adjusting to life here...doesn't help that I keep telling him "there is no white bird here" yet my greys keep screaming WHITE BIRD! LOL

We love him...if he bites, that's okay...He's earned the right to a few of those....

Poor baby! Cage bound for 10-12 years? How can anyone do that to a sweet little birdie!

Camille, we do have birds that don't have such awful histories! If I have time this weekend, I'll post about our flock..5 greys, 5 quakers, 2 amazons, 1 macaw, 3 gcc, doves, tiels, canaries, finches...I think that's all of them. It is a HUGE job, and it's all mine...Dh will play with them, but feeding/watering/cage cleaning is my job...

Arty we are neighbors - I'm in Plymouth.

Pacino had a good day today...refused to come out of his cage for me, until Pruitt came out, then he thought he was missing something! LOL I put Pacino on a tree in the living room, and Pru in the kitchen on a stand. Seems to work better when they are not within eyesight of each other. Pacino had his version of fun...sitting like a potato in one spot, looking around, taking a nap, checking out the other birds.

My zon has exciting days like that too.

Thank you for taking him in. I look forward to learning about your flock.
