Guys? I've been abandoned. (Sniffle) Nigel has discovered his toys, lol!! And I'm not 100% sure, but even as we speak, he seems to be making mad passionate love to one of them... sigh. Men!!!! LOL

I think this is a good thing-- he's interacting with his environment and not just clinging to me. And I can handle it, really.... it's ok that he doesn't want to hang out with me tonite....

LOL!!

If he loved a particular toy - be careful around it - he might get a bit hormonal or territorial. - not like you to touch it.

OMG-- this is sooooo funny--- this morning I woke to the sound of a puppy yelping. I fly out of bed, still asleep, to see who is yelping... never mind that I currently have no foster puppies... and yup, you guessed it! Nigel is yelping his head off for no apparent reason. He even kept yelping as I was standing there trying to soothe him... which I did think was odd... he just kept looking me in the eye and yelping. He finally tapered off, and of course I look around me and all the dogs, and my husband, are just staring at him in utter amazement. LOL!!!! Crazy bird....

And Jac, yup, he is looooooove with one of his toys. I won't touch it, no worries. He can have his way with it!!!

Wonder if you are currently [as we speak] making him a cage cover for nite-nite. It allows me a little 'sleep in' with Rio the shouter safely in the dark.

I guess he had puppy freinds in the past. Maybe he thinks he's a pup. It will be interesting to see how your dogs handle this. Is he speaking their language & so they know what it is he's saying?!

I've been covering his cage with a dark blue, light weight blanket at night... but I leave the side to the window open so he can see the sunrise. I'm thinkin' that sunrise can wait a bit from now on. LOL!!!!

OMG.

He was QUIET this morning. He's STILL quiet this morning. Shhhh.... I'm typing very, very softly. lol

I still let him have the sunrise, but for some reason, he did not start this morning with squawking... and it's kind of nice... he's been watching me and muttering to himself quietly.

Think he heard us talking last night about which of our snakes would be big enough to eat him??!!!!

Here's a couple of pics from yesterday evening-- we moved Nigel out onto the front porch. He seems to be enjoying that more and more. It is SO HARD for me to keep him in a cage outside-- because my whole set up here is based on the animals having freedom to roam the property and just be, well, themselves. So I itch to let him out to "play" outside, and it will just take me a while to get used to having an animal that I can't do that with!!

Unless I can convince hubby to build him a nice outdoor enclosure.... LOL!!! Right now I've kind of used hubby up building a barn... sigh...

Anyway, here's the boy--

As you can see, he was soooo interested in his surroundings at the time... lol.

I haven't changed cages yet, even tho I know this one is not ideal. But you know, he navigates those verticle bars like a pro, especially now that he has things to play on and grasp. And it's so easy to move in and out.

Oh, one of our ducks was beating the tar out of one of the dogs last night and that got Nigel all wired up. I'm not for sure which one he was rooting on, but I'm pretty sure it was Fred the duck. :-)

I love it. I absolutely love it. You did a great job decorating his cage! He's got some cute toys in there. That ladder is so cute. I had one but mine ate it from bottom to top. What is that green hanging stuff though?

If you can, next time get pics of that fighting duck!
