Default Learning to respond to phrases

Yep, this is our new thing.

I will ask Ryan..

Are you a pretty bird? And he'll do the pretty whistle.

Are you a tough bird? He'll respond, RAR, RAR, RAR
(that one is so funny)

Are you a silly bird? He will drop to his side and roll on his back laughing, feet kicking up in the air.

And then I say, I'm going to eat you. Yummy!

You guys can answer this for me, because I could swear he actually thinks I'm going to eat him. He gets all nervous/excited. I can't decide which. He starts making a BURP sound, eyes start pinning and he starts pacing a bit still making that BURP sound.

Do you guys think that Ryan actually thinks I'm going to eat him?

HAH!

That is hilarious! I must mean SOMETHING to him or he wouldn't act that way. I tell Cookie that all the time then I go after her chest/belly with fake bites. She just thinks it is a great game.

That was a very sweet story.

I wonder if at the point when you say you're going to eat him - he is all wound up. Rio is all a quiver when he anticipates something. I know Laker gets pretty wound up too when we are playing. I have to calm him down a bit or he gets tooo frantic.

He probably just thinks it's time for him to eat.

Awww, thanks guys! Like Jac said, I think by the time I get to that point he's all wound up and excited. However, I must admit I do pretend I'm going to eat him with the fake bites and "mmmm" and yummy!

It's so darn funny.
