Well - here is the story. About 9 months ago a friend (bird clueless) called me to say there was a parrot in her back yard. I went over and helped her get him and I took Gipper's old cage and she kept him for a while. I tried to find his owner, no luck. But she is a very tidy person and didn't like the mess so her neighbor who had birds a long time ago took him. Well, now they are going thru "hard times" (???????) and don't want him. Ruby is all I think I can handle now, (she doesn't even like the chihuahua and will bite me if the dog comes close) but I would like to see him in a permanent home. Does anyone here know anyone in Houston (or close) that could give him a good home? He has Gipper's old cage which is really big and nice.

i don't know of anyone, but you might want to try taking "applications" through craigslist.

I work with a bunch of rescues, let me see if anyone is in the area that knows of a good home.

Oh, poor baby. That makes me so sad. If I weren't already in contact with another prospective new bird I would likely drive down to see him/her. Please keep us updated. Do you have any more info on the bird?
