No, sadly the little finch is staying where he is. Probably best, since he's used to flying free in her bird room which is separated from the rest of the house by a screen door. Here I'm afraid he'd get in trouble being so tiny and all. I'm hoping that Chico will accept Quito as a substitute, and take a liking to (or at least tolerate) her wayward ways. Its going to be a challenge to keep her from landing on his cage.

Edit to add: She did tell me that Chico didn't mind any of her birds landing on his cage, so fingers crossed!

My sense is that you are a natural at reading animal emotions, Nate. And luckily, amazons don't typically even try to mask their feelings. Just read the body language, be prepared to hand out lots of treats (the stomach is the quickest way to an amazon's heart) and don't push things too quickly. Before you know it, you will have one of the most loyal feathered friends ever put on this planet. Congratulations!!
