Hi folks. I wanted to brag and show a pic of Baby waving. Pretty good for only clicking for about a week or so, huh?
She is doing great with the clicking. She appears to like it! She dearly LOVES to ring a bell. She doesn't actually "ring" it, it's big and fat, so after she grabs and pulls it I have to shake it to get the ring. But, when I say "wanna ring the bell"? She just gets giddy all over and restless and starts squawking/pinning and screaming. LOL. is funny.
The wave actually was accidental. I noticed as I worked more with the perching, it appears as a wave cause her foot would be flat out. So I started retracting the perch back into my sleeve and cuing her with "wave" the c/t. She got that pretty quickly.
She still is hesitant on the perch but tha's ok. I'm letting her do this and she understands where we are headed now.
Thought you'd like to see her shine!
She'll say "awe" and bow her head to have some good scratching, then she'll get all possessed and try to nip at me, like a bi-polar zon that she is, and I just walk away. She's gettin the message and has really stopped doing it as much as she was.
Oh, funny thing other nite. She was talking to her food. I sat a small bowl of cooled lasagna on her playtop, while we ate supper and she walked up to it and was saying HI!....HI!...... HI! over and over. big funny. We all laughed at the table and she looked at us.
I told her that I've been known to talk to a few chocolate donuts, so it was ok.
Anyway, just wanted ya'll to see that clicker training works nicely. She loves it and appears to enjoy learning new tricks.
I enjoy her learning and hanging out with her. And now let's be honest, it's just fun to show your wife how the loud bird can WAVE at her! LOL.
She is doing so awesome. I could not be happier with a bird. She's funny, incredibly smart...
