Default Another Amazon???

Ok I have 2 Amazons now- Calipso(RL) and CJ(DYH).CJ is a 36 yr old retired breder.Calipso is 17 yrs old and came from a super crappy home(s)and is one of my very special birds, because he had to have one of his wings amputated.Cj is for sure a male,Calipso I was told was a male and on looking at xrays my AV thought that was correct, but we will know for 100% as soon as his DNA comes back. They are both caged seperatly, but next to each other. When I let them out ,they hang out and are good buds.

Now would adding another Amazon to my flock disrupt their freindship?? I understand that there is no guarantee that they would all ever get along, but what about the dynamics of just having a 3 rd?? Would it matter the sex of the 3rd?? I don't want to do anything to disrupt their friendship,so thoughts and opinions on adding another one????????

Oh yes imo it would totally matter. And threes aren't good imo, ime, only pairs. And if there are two males and one hen it could be bad and even for her with mate aggression. I wouldn't suggest adding a third if it were me. Even three males could be bad too.

I agree with Cindy... two is company, three is a crowd holds true in our bird room.
