Default Amazons Here, Amazons There, Amazons Everywhere

It's a good thing I have self control. The bird expo in Orlando today was awash in a sea of Amazons. They were everywhere. There were Yellow Napes than I've ever seen there before and were they beautiful. Because of the risk of disease, I don't buy birds at bird expos -- but it was truly fun to see all the babies and the toddlers and the grown-ups. Also, there were several Red Lored, one with a huge personality.

I am so jealous, I don't have that sort of self control. That why I brought Cosmo home!

There is an Amazon named Ricky at our local bird shop. She is the funniest Amazon I have ever met, plus she can talk up a storm. My favorite is when she cries like a baby, it sounds so real its amazing. Although she doesn't particularly care for me, I certainly do adore her and her funny antics.

There was an 8 week old baby blue front today at the fair I went to. Oh god, I was so close to coming home with him and probably would have, but they werent letting him go home until he was done with handfeeding. My dream is to have at least one more amazon (I think a blue front or a double yellow) but this time, one I can hand feed and raise from a baby...... I learned a lesson today.... NO MORE BIRD EXPOS! too dangerous for me!

$1000, and was willing to do $900..... He was asking the same for the blue front, a nape, a double yellow, and a yellow crowned.... all were weaned except the blue front

Just FYI J.J. and anyone else.....Any future B.F. babies that I handfeed will be no more than $600 (weaned and fledged) to regular members here (who also support TGF) (providing my supplier does not raise his prices that is). Must pick up though, not currently shipping.
