Talking Who wanted an african grey?! LOL

Meeeeee and I'm sooo glad I have her! She is the best fid! But my poor pup, he has become desensitised (sp) to my hubbys whistle for him, and all his squeaky toys! Zakiya has nailed those plus the phone and "Hondo, wanna go out?" It is a trip around here! She is so pretty as well, yesterday at out local gas station, the owner brought her congo to work and he is big and dark grey. Not timneh gray, but dark. Zakiya is a light soft gray. She and hubby are good now too as he still is the only one to get her peanuts. Whew, I was worried about that relationship in the beginning! Have a good one!

Awww, sounds like she has settled in nicely. Amazing how they can mimic sounds so well, isn't it? My grey, Gabby, sounds just like the microwave oven beep. I figured out why she makes that sound -- she saw I went to the microwave everytime it beeped. Smart girl, my Gabby!

Nice avatar, btw. Looks like you and Zakiya were made for each other.

Grey's are smart. Mine calls the dog at the appropriate times. When one of my grandsons walks in Boca yells...hey boy, howya doin. I can't even begin to tell you all the words and phrases they know.

I love the "Hondo, wanna go out?"! So cute! They really are soooo smart!

Glad Z and your hubby have worked things out!
