About a week ago i was laying on the couch with jazz cuddling and when i thought he was thru he stepped up my arm looked at me and dropped his wings. At first i thought he may be too warm but he kept doing it making his baby noises at me. I looked up this behavior and come to find out it is a sign of affection. Awwww, my baby!
Over the last week or so jazz has discovered that i go upstairs and i have found him twice climbing up the stairs, well this morning i was still in bed and heard this cluck noise getting closer and closer from the stairs. My husband had let him out and of course he heads instantly towards the floor so rick followed him up the stairs. It was so adorable because rick put him on the bed and he ran over to me, nuzzled in my neck, popped his wings close to his body and layed down and cuddled for about a half hour! I loved it, he is such a mammas boy!
And to think of how much he bit me at the start has now become such a rarity! I am lovin this little guy!!
That sounds so adorable!! I have heard stories of birds walking on the floor looking for their owners, but neither Dakota nor Ollie have ever done that. They both don't like being on the ground. They prefer to fly to get somewhere! But I think walking/waddling birds are just about the cutest thing! Jazz sure does love you!
LOL that's adorable! Maple does the same thing...waddles her little feathered butt all over the house either looking for me or following me....it's so cute! Your one lucky lady....that birdie loves you a lot. And there is nothing better then cuddle time in bed!! Hehehe!
A Kodak moment, a sweet memory.
You have earned the effection your little one is showing you.
A great person, A great bird.
Thanks for sharing your moment with us
I was in such a hurry when i posted the above i went straight to the good stuff. When i was at work today he went up the stairs looking for me again. Luckily rick decided to check on him. Normally he is under strict supervision but daddy seems to be a little slack at times. Our dogs are great with him but all it takes is one time for something to happen so i told rick when he lets him out just let him drop his "bomb" then bring him straight up to me.
I know all of our birds are the greatest but so far this little guy is just so well behaved . When we sleep in he just entertains himself by jabbering quietly until we take the sheet off. Most the time he just plays with his toys jabbering and whistling quietly. Maybe it seems so great because i was used to my noisy precious quaker who chewed holes in his sheet if i slept in.
Putting him night night is a different story though. I cannot even say it until i get him to step up then once he figures out what is going on he will not let go of me.
Is this self entertaining, no screaming just a phase since he is only 7 months old? I'm taking one day at a time and just enjoying every minute of it!
I'd love to get a video of him in bed but once he sees anything electronic he just goes after it. Maybe we can catch a photo!
