Default Video of Ollie's ShakeShake Trick

YouTube - ShakeShake!

She's been doing this on command for a few months now. Just a week ago she started saying "shakeshake" as she does it. At first I thought it sounded like a sneeze...it took me awhile to figure out what she was saying!

Now that is clear - The toung clicking is very well done also. I almost have my Ollie making kissing sounds on command.

In the beginning she says "Hi good girl" in case anybody was wondering.

Ollie will do kisses to 2 cues: "Gimme kiss" (if we're close), and "Blow a kiss" This is one thing I didn't even realize I was teaching her...I just said "kiss" so often when she made the sound that she made the association. They're so smart- it's really not that difficult to teach them things. Pretty soon you'll be amazed at what your Ollie picks up and understands.

I think "shake-shake" is a complicated sound for a bird to make and she is doing very well with it, Camille! I don't know how you manage to catch her on camera like that. As soon as any of my birds see the "big black box" in my hand, they clam up and just stare at me and the camera

I also liked seeing her fly to you like that. I am always in awe of seeing birds in flight -- even short distances. And I'd say that Ollie really loves hanging out near her window. Does she play with the orbit toy? Jello and Gabby swing on theirs multiple times a day -- has really brought the "gymnast" out in them!

Ollie is a little show off. Her only problem is wanting to fly AT the camera (we spend too much time trying to get flight shots apparently ). If I slowly reach for the camera and don't draw too much attention to it, she'll just continue what she's doing.

Yeah, she loves the window. I have a bird feeder right there and she loves to watch the birds flitting around and sing to the squirrels. She loves her orbit. She'll hang upside down and swing from it.

Ollie does not seem to be bothered by my camera. He carries on making his usual noises like in my latest video.

I notice his eyes are getting lighter also.

I don't seem to have that problem. You mean, if your birds are getting loud, all you need to do is get the camera? Ollie will go on for a long time. He can get loud at times but some of the sounds he makes cracks me up.
