I got to go and visit our baby TAG, Scarlett, yesterday. She has gotten alot more independent and intelligent. And she is quite the diva and lets you know if she doesn't want to do something, lol. She steps up everytime, and it really sounds like she is trying to say step up. I guess she hears it alot! The breeder said she tried to fly so she had to clip her wings (her policy) which kind of stinks but they'll grow back. She is on one feeding a day now and is starting to refuse some of it. She still hasn't started drinking water so I hope she does that soon. She should be coming home Feb, 17 or 18th, so we only have a couple of weeks left! Here are some pictures, they are not very good, my camera died soon after we got there.
I don't think she did. I had asked her not to clip her wings but she said it was her policy that she didn't cut before but had a parrotlet crash into the wall and die and she wasn't going through that again so she doesn't take any chances. I feel bad about Scarlett not being allowed to learn how to fly but we will work with her as her feathers come back in.
She's so precious! I'm not even going to get started on the breeder not allowing her to fledge before clipping...that is what happened to Ollie, and she is just now within the last few months starting to get confident enough to fly well. A bird who fledges properly and is allowed to practice flying won't just randomly fly into walls...
