LOL - There is no 'might have been a hormonal thing', it most definitely was. The season is coming to an end, birds are starting their annual molt and sexual hormones are slowly disappearing from their system so aggression is over for now, except for those hard nuts to crack that will always be aggressive.

As to why she now steps and didn't before, it's because she is clipped. Animals know when they are in a vulnerable position and would take help from anybody in order to survive... even completely wild animals can be safely handled when handicapped.

I don't believe that Harrison was clipped, it was merely a suggestion by the vet and Heather chose to try and work through the issues and leave her flighted. And Heather, I think you've been doing a fantastic job with Harrison.
