| I had one who did that as well. Couldnt understand why he enjoyed destroying them over his toys! But I kept him away after I was told that they contain Lead? not sure how true that is. But he had to find a new thing to destroy. Great pic! | |||||||||||||||||||||

| We change the blinds often, for some reason (stupid Me), his cage gets pushed back to close and he simply destroys them. I will ask the wife about the coating, I know we used to use plastic blinds, but recently switched to these... Thanks Lisa, and thanks for all the replies. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I just spoke with the wife, she said there's no lead in the finish, apparently there are no toxins within the finish, but...just knowing there are risks, she said she is going to go back to using the plastic blinds. Just a heads up, todays paints do not have a lead base, its against the law, not saying it won't happen, but todays paints are not to contain lead.
