Default New Ollie Video

I took a short video of Ollie making some sounds. It sounds like he is trying to talk. Watch the video and tell me if this is what they do in the beginning when first lerning how to talk. He is just under 6 months old.

I cought the end of his babble so I missed a lot of other good stuff. I took me a while to go and get the camera since we were having a good time mimicing each other. The clicking sounds are from me, trying to get him to do it. He makes kissing sounds and several other srange sounds that sound almost like words, but I think they are more made up that actual words.

That was so cute. Right at 10-11 seconds I heard, "Pretty Bird, Pretty Bird."

I say the phrase "pretty bird" daily. I usually say "pretty bird yes yes". I knew he said something in the beginning, but was not sure what. I will have to go back and play it again and see if I can tell.

You ladies have a sharp ear!

How exciting! Sounds like he can start any day. I've heard that once they start talking they don't stop. Don't know if that is true or not. Hopefully true.

i guess the sharpness is because i am constantly listening to jazz babble hoping to catch a word. I really think he is trying to say "birdy" almost evil sounding (lol)

Sounds like he's going to be talking soon! They usually start mumbling like that before they do.

I remember Oliver would scream out a lot, or cry for a lack of a better word. I've got a video somewhere. I think I'll try and dig it up.

Oliver will mumble, too. Especially when he's learning something new. And it's funny when Jim and I are having a conversation, he'll start just rambling and carrying on like "hey, I want in this conversation, too." and when we're yelling at each other, he'll yell too. hahaha
