Riley has picked up two new phrases:

1) Get off the couch!
Guess I have been saying that too many times to my two monster dogs here lately.

then, here's the funny one........
2) Go in the cage!
She started saying this one on Sunday and when I realized what she was saying I started repeating it back to her so she could perfect it. Well she said "Riley, go in the cage!", so I repeated "Riley, go in the cage." She stopped talking, looked right at me like I had just lost my mind and yelled "NO!" at me. I started laughing so hard I almost started crying. It was way too funny! Life sure isn't quite or never the same when you live with an African Grey.

Even with the small time I looked after a Grey - they were picking up my accent & turn of phrase. What characters they are! There is no doubt that they use the phrases intentionally.
I think your Goofy Cag is adorable,& smart.

Oh, my - how funny!

That is absolutely cracking me up. Just the thaught of Riley saying no at you lol. Buddy talks and sometime I will repeat back what he has said. He sometimes will look at me like, hey I was doing just fine myself and then he will go silent. Then there is other times that he will repeat it and then I will say it and back and forth. Birds will make you'll laugh thats for sure. ~Jenna
